Mr. Grant Steckbeck

Grant Steckbeck is in his 13th year teaching and 4th here at Carmel High School. Grant holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Education from Ball State University where he won the 2013 Senior Theatre Educator Award for his contributions to the Theatre and Dance Department. He has previously taught theatre at Silver Creek High School and Bloomington High School North. He is the co-sponsor for the CHS Rising Stars Club and Carmel’s International Thespian Society Troupe 3315. Grant is also the sponsor of Carmel’s ComedySportz High School League team. Grant also teaches the IB Film classes at Carmel.
Grant is an elected member of the Chapter Executive Board with Indiana Thespians serving as the State Thespian Officer Advisor since 2014 and the College and Thespian Scholarship Coordinator from 2016-2021.
Grant is married to Caitlyn Steckbeck who teaches theatre at Avon High School, but he doesn’t hold that against her. They have two wonderful dogs who help keep them sane.
