The Carmel High School Theatre and Film Department will present their production of A Monster Calls, taking place at The Indy Fringe Theatre on August 25, 26, and 31, as well as September 2. The production features an eleven member cast composed of students from CHS.
The Carmel High School Theatre and Film department has been a part of the Indy Fringe Festival for over a decade. This year, they are pulling out all of the stops with their production of A Monster Calls.
In the play, Conor has the same dream every night, ever since his mother first fell ill, ever since she started those treatments that don’t quite seem to be working. But tonight is different. Tonight, when he wakes, there’s a visitor at his window. It’s ancient, elemental, a force of nature. A Monster has come walking. It’s come to tell Connor tales from when it has walked before.And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor. It wants the truth.
