
Maggie Cassidy is in her 26th year of teaching theatre and her 19th year at Carmel High School. Maggie received her undergraduate degree in Theatre & Speech Education and Theatre from Ball State University and her master’s degree in Theatre Education from New York University. She is the co-sponsor of Carmel’s Rising Stars Theatre Club and The International Thespian Society. She has served time on the Indiana Thespians Adult Board and directs three productions a year. Maggie’s productions have won numerous awards, including placing 1st at The Indiana State Thespian Conference 2011, 2014, 2017, 2021, and 2024. Her students have won multiple awards, scholarships, and recognition for their theatrical talents. Four of her former students are currently performing on Broadway. Her students have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland and as part of the IndyFringe festival in Indianapolis, IN. In 2023, Maggie was inducted into the Indiana State Thespians Hall of Fame for her contributions and service to theatre education and was nominated as a Teacher of the Year for Carmel Clay Schools. She is married and has three wonderful children who inspire her every day to create beautiful art and share it with the world.
