Ms. Maggie Cassidy

Maggie Cassidy is in her 17th year of teaching theatre and her 11th year at Carmel High School.  Maggie received her undergraduate degree from Ball State University and her Master’s degree from New York University.  She is the sponsor of Carmel’s Rising Stars Theatre Club and The International Thespian Society. She has served time on the Indiana Thespians Adult Board, and directs two productions a year.  Maggie’s productions have won numerous awards, including placing 1st at The Indiana State Thespian Conference 2011, 2014 and 2017.  Her students have won multiple awards, scholarships, and recognition for their theatrical talents.  Her students have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland and as part of the IndyFringe festival in Indianapolis, IN.  She also created and teaches a theatre program at GiGi’s playhouse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center in Indianapolis, to to make theatre accessible to students of all skill levels.
