ANDREW OKERSON is a creative designer based in Indianapolis, Indiana. 2018 marks Andrew’s first year at Carmel High School, but he has been involved with theater and the arts his entire life.
When not at the high school, Andrew is active in the arts community. Recent roles include sound Designer on Sister Act (2017) at Footlite, Director on Peter Wendy (2018) Ten West, and Sound Designer on Brigadoon (2018) at Footlite. Brigadoon won best non professional musical in Indianapolis in 2018.
In 2017, he was one of 15 people chosen to be part of USITT’s ELITE Traning where he got to spend a week working and learning with the crews at several Cirque de Soliel shows in Las Vegas.
Andrew also works in multimedia. His work is heard an seen on the radio, online, on TV, and beyond. His work was recently featured on ESPN, as well as NBA halftime shows across America.
Andrew could work anywhere from coast to cast, but he prefers being close to his family in the midwest, and having the time to educate the next generation of theater designers.
